  1. Rob Clary – Introduction

Hello All, I am glad to have found this forum.
I am seeking to connect with like-minded, goal oriented people interested in peak fitness and optimal health.
I enjoy exchanging ideas and learning more about overall wellness.

  2. Welcome aboard.
We are not the most exclusive club, we have jackets but the sleeves are normally tied behind us.
I see from your profile you are predominantly outdoors and martial arts based.

  3. Thanks Crazy, and yes, I prefer training outside of a traditional weight gym or fitness club.
Maybe you’re not the only “crazy old man” around. My goals are less about the man in the mirror and more about staying active and maintaining great health. To most that might seem abnormal, but it’s a condition to embrace.
    Again, thanks!

  4. I am taking some time out of functional fitness this year, first time I have been after aesthetic gains in well over a decade. Just decided to get to the maximum weight I can be and still generate enough blood to feed. This will be followed with a number of years of trying to make this additional weight work for it’s living. At the moment it’s just making it hard for me to maintain my running pace, and keeping my wife happy, the latter is worth the former.
You will find yourself quite normal among the regulars here. We have Goldfish who has recently been showing his prowess as a powerlifter, very performance focussed, Sure who is into being suitable for outdoor pursuits as well, me who wants to be good at everything so is never happy with myself, and Justin who is trying to build up and get stronger while juggling a young family and work.
Hence I generally say welcome to the asylum, because in the world of form over function we are not the norm, generally a good thing.
