    Introduction and injury question

Hello everyone. My name is jstoner and I am rehabbing a L5 S1 disc issue. I’ve been walking miles a day forever but have recently started outdoor cycling on a recumbent bike followed up with swimming instead of walking. I love it. I normally put in about 20 miles a day and swim for about 20 to 25 minutes. I also started lifting weights again using ISO machines for legs, chest, back, shoulders 3 times a week and this has been working well for me too. I have common sense when it comes to lifting weights however, I do not have any experience with proper lifting techniques. For example I’ve been using the Life Fitness ISO Lat Row today and I think I pulled a lower back muscle. I know that I should keep my chest right up against the pad however, when I pull the weights back my chest comes back too. I believe this is how I injured myself. Can someone help with some advice for the proper use of this machine? Thanks…
